The Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA), in collaboration with the Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI), will officially launch the 2025 National Batho Pele and Innovation Awards (NBP&IA) on June 6 in Polokwane, Limpopo Province.
The launch event kick-starts the processes that will culminate in the NBP&IA ceremony later in the year, which aims to spotlight and celebrate excellence and innovation within the public service sector.
The NBP&IA is a strategic initiative aligned with the Batho Pele Revitalisation Strategy, which promotes a culture of accountability, innovation, and improved service delivery among government employees.
This year’s launch follows the merger of the CPSI and DPSA awards programmes, a decision endorsed by the Minister for the Public Service and Administration. The consolidation is part of efforts to streamline recognition platforms under the ministry’s portfolio. The first joint awards ceremony was held on November 29, 2024.
At the 2025 programme launch, attendees will be introduced to various public sector innovation projects and Batho Pele Excellence initiatives. Government departments and public service entities are invited to participate via this registration link: https://forms.office.com/r/uiL2dpL6tP.
