“An efficient, effective and development oriented public service”
Welcome to the online edition of The Public Servant Magazine, the official online corporate publication of the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA).
We are proud to be one of the first Department to implement this online solution for government which is a fully interactive.
We are also delighted to be the leaders in this Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) initiative as the department responsible for government information technology policy.
With the online publication, we will be able to reach all citizens and beyond with recent fresh news wherever they may be.
The solution is also integrated with the social media platforms of the department to give exposure to the publication.
As the Department of Public Service and Administration, we stand for a professional, productive and responsive public service and administration.
We are responsible for establishing norms and standards to ensure that the state machinery functions optimally and that such norms and standards are adhered to.
We are also responsible for implementing interventions to maintain a compliant and functioning Public Service that promotes an ethical public service through programmes, systems, frameworks and structures that detect, prevent and combat corruption.
In doings so, we also contribute towards an improved public administration in the country, Africa and the world through dialogue and sharing of best practices.
This publication will be instrumental in driving the mission of the department and in ensuring that information disermination becomes a strategic element of service delivery.
