Public Service and Administration Deputy Minister, Dr Chana Pilane-Majake

Public Service and Administration Minister, Dr Chana Pilane-Majake will on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, host a Pre-Presidential Imbizo with Faith-Based Organisations in Witbank’s Cultural Civic Centre, Mpumalanga.

The imbizo aims to reaffirm government’s commitment to inclusivity, unity, and the well-being of all citizens.

At this pre-Presidential Imbizo, ideas will be exchanged, and new ways will be explored to address the day-to-day challenges faced by residents of Emalahleni Local Municipality.

On the same day, Public Service and Administration Minister, Ms Noxolo Kiviet will also be leading a Pre-Presidential Imbizo on the Professionalisation of the Public Service with public servants in the province, but in a venue yet to be announced.

These events are intertwined and are aimed at fostering dialogue, collaboration, and inclusivity to address pressing issues in the society.

The District Development Model Presidential Imbizo

The DDM Presidential Imbizo aims to create an interactive platform for the President, Ministers, and the provincial leadership to engage with communities and find solutions to challenges of socio-economic concern confronting them daily.

The initiative is also aimed at intensifying provision of services, promote social cohesion and advance developmental programmes that are aimed at creating economic opportunities for locals.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to lead a follow-up DDM Presidential Imbizo on Thursday March 7, 2024, at Emalahleni local municipality, Nkangala District under the theme: “Leave no one behind,”
