Deputy Minister leads Pre-Presidential Imbizo in Upington


Public Service and Administration Deputy Minister, Dr Chana Pilane-Majake will tomorrow, Wednesday, 19 October 2022, lead a community engagement as part of the Pre-Presidential Imbizo in the !Kheis Municipality of Upington in the Northern Cape.

The Deputy Minister will embark on the outreach programme themed: “taking government services to the people,” at the Wegdraai Community Hall.

The programme, which is designed to encourage a participatory democracy through social dialogue with communities on how to improve government service delivery in their respective areas, is part of build-up activities ahead of a scheduled two-day Presidential Imbizo to be led by President Cyril Ramaphosa at ZF Mgcawu District Municipality in the Northern Cape from Thursday, 20 October.

The Presidential Imbizo forms part of the President’s commitment in the State of the Nation Address that no one will be left behind as government works with all sectors of society to move the country forward.
