The National Batho Pele Excellence Awards (NBPEA), scheduled that was scheduled to take place on 27 March 2020 at the Sandton Convention Centre has been postponed indefinitely.
The decision by the Executive Committee (Exco) of the Department of Public Service and Administration chaired by Director-General, Ms Yoliswa Makhasi, come after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the package of measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19, which is reported to be caused by the Sars-CoV-2 virus.
The purpose of the annual NBPEA is to entrench the transformation and professionalism in the public service, rewarding excellent service delivery, recognising the contribution by public servants across Government, and adds towards service delivery improvement.
