Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana to Attend 2025 Economic Governance School

Pretoria, 19 May 2025 – Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration, Ms. Pinky Kekana, has been invited to participate in the 2025 Economic Governance School, a collaborative initiative designed to enhance governance among public leaders from South Africa, Ghana, and Kenya.

The National School of Government (NSG) announced the invitation, emphasizing the school’s role in providing a platform for elected and appointed officials to engage in critical discussions regarding governance challenges in today’s global economic landscape.

Mr. Tebatso Chokoe, Head of Office in the Deputy Minister’s office, confirmed that the program aims to foster multilateral relations and shared developmental goals among the participating countries. The school will feature 45 participants, with 15 representatives from each nation, participating in three interlinked modules, including a residential learning session in Accra, Ghana, from June 16 to 20, 2025.

Prof. Busani Ngcaweni, Principal of the NSG, highlighted the importance of Ms. Kekana’s involvement, stating that her participation will significantly contribute to advancing public sector capacity and leadership development.

The NSG has provided details about the program and enrollment process, further enhancing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange among public leaders in the region.
