Public Service and Administration Deputy Minister, Dr Chana Pilane-Majake will lead a breakfast session aimed at finding a lasting solution to government departments\u2019 inability to pay suppliers within the prescribed 30-day period.<\/p>\n
The principles of the Batho Pele revitalised strategy will be on top of the agenda of the much-awaited breakfast session to be held at Protea Hotel ANew in Pretoria on Friday, 3 March, 2023.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, Deputy Minister Pilane-Majake held a meeting with Young Women in Business affiliated to the National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC), where the non-compliance to pay service providers within the prescribed period dominated their discussions.<\/p>\n
The Young Women in Business then requested to have a broader meeting with the Deputy Minister, this time around with their respective delegation to properly discuss the role of DPSA in ensuring compliance in line with the Batho Pele principles.<\/p>\n
To demonstrate that this is a caring government of the people by the people, the Deputy Minister agreed to have a solution-driven breakfast session with the entrepreneurs to stamp out the non-compliance to pay suppliers on time by certain national and provincial government departments.<\/p>\n
The DPSA is at the centre of government, where it plays a major policy role in establishing norms and standards for the entire public service space, to ensure that service-delivery mechanisms, integrated systems and access, human resources, institutional development, and governance initiatives are responsive to the needs of citizens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
