This form will come to effect on 1 January 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The new version will have a different layout and smaller font to cram in demands for much more detailed information and a section on personal information has been significantly and pointedly extended.<\/p>\n<p>The new questions to be answered by the applicants when applying for jobs with public Service include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have you been convicted or found guilty of a criminal offense (including an admission of guilt)?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have any pending criminal case against you?<\/li>\n<li>Have you ever been dismissed for misconduct from the Public Service?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have any pending disciplinary case against you?<\/li>\n<li>Have you resigned from a recent job pending any disciplinary proceeding against you?<\/li>\n<li>Are you conducting business with the State or are you a Director of a Public or Private company conducting business with the State?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It important to note that those who indicate business dealings with the state will have an extra yes or no question to answer, on whether they will &#8220;immediately relinquish such business interests.<\/p>\n<p>Those previously dismissed from public service, or who resigned before disciplinary hearings, this will only count against them &#8220;if it directly relates to the requirements of the position&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>But criminal records, and pending matters, will be considered in terms of internal security and disciplinary codes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1383\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dpsa.gov.za\/thepublicservant\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Z83-300x184.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"184\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dpsa.gov.za\/thepublicservant\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Z83-300x184.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.dpsa.gov.za\/thepublicservant\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Z83-500x307.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.dpsa.gov.za\/thepublicservant\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Z83-150x92.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.dpsa.gov.za\/thepublicservant\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Z83.jpg 605w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Honorable Senzo Mchunu, MP, has gazetted a new version of the Z83 application form for employment in the public service.
