DPSA IN THE MEDIA: Acting DG Khumbula Ndaba announces appointment of Minister Padayachie as Public Service and Administration Minister

The Acting Director-General for the Department of Public Service and Administration, Mr Khumbula Ndaba informed all members of staff in the Public Service and Administration Ministry that in a Cabinet reshuffle announced by President Jacob Zuma yesterday, Minister Radhakrishna "Roy" Padayachie was appointed Minister for the Public Service and Administration (MPSA).

Minister Padayachie was Minister of Communication before yesterday's announcement and he previously served as Deputy Minister for the Public Service and Administration from May 2009 to October 2010 and before that he served as Deputy Minister of Communications.

The Minister, who is still outside the country on international engagements, will formally arrive at Batho Pele House on Friday, 28 October.

"I want to take this opportunity to wish our new Minister well and pledge to support him in executing his responsibilities and delivering an efficient, effective and development oriented public service," Mr Ndaba said.
