Background and Objectives
Since 2007, Public Service Week activities and Khaedu deployments serve build-up activities for Africa Public Service Day. The key objectives of PSW:
- To facilitate access to public services by the general public;
- To enhance the quality and efficiency of public service delivery;
- To ensure multi-skilling of public service cadres at all layers;
- To ensure that Senior Management Service (SMS) members are deployed to the coalface to assist, identify and give possible solutions to administrative problems (Khaedu).
Intended Outcomes
- The unblocking of service delivery bottle necks in the public service.
- Enhancing the quality and efficiency of Public Service Delivery.
- Increased awareness of service delivery challenges and achievements by public officials through exposure and sharing of best service delivery practices.

Launch by the Minister on 17 June 2008 at Mayibuye Cultural Centre, Galeshewe, Kimberley". Report back session which will also mark the handing over of the Khaedu report will be on 20 June 2008 at Progress Community Hall in Upington.
